Too Busy to Blog!?
Yes, it’s true. If you’ve been a semi-regular reader, you may have noticed that not only has my blogging slowed down, it has come to a rapid, unexpected, and very sad halt. I did, however, want to thank Renee of Womanist Musings for filling in the gaps here and there and contributing posts to Menstrual Poetry.
I know I have heard from a few regular readers regarding Renee’s posts and no matter how you feel about them, we can all agree that the topics Renee frequently posts about need to be posted about; we need discussion when it comes to any section of human rights that the majority of people may not fully understand or even give too much thought to. Not only am I grateful to Renee for sharing some of her posts with Menstrual Poetry, I am also grateful to the fact that (some) feminists can support each other for their activism. I have been a long-time reader of Womanist Musings and to have the woman who I have read the thoughts of and admired for quite some time sharing with me my space, is a fabulous, feminist moment that makes me think more about the sisterhood that feminism is supposed to be.
So my lack of blogging as of late is to be blamed on the fact that I got a new job. I am currently a web designer for one of the top internet technology companies in the country. Yes, leave it to me to get the best job I have ever had, doing something I love in the middle of an economic meltdown. So between the accounts I am working on daily in addition to my manager asking me to take even more accounts per day, I have had very little time for much else in my life.
I will continue to blog here when I can, of course, and am working towards waking up earlier so I can spend my early mornings focusing on blogging and keeping everything I’ve been working on myself up to date.
I am also working on another film. As I posted about last April, I have written a short film called No Trespassing so now I am working on something fictional, although it still deals with social issues. I’ll keep you all updated on the progress with that.

IF you are gone for too long, we'll have to start chanting and attack your new business with pitchforks and torches. Nothing says love like an angry mob with pitchforks and torches.
haha. Thats a nice one, with pitchforks and torches haha.
Sounds to me that your life is changing for the better. There are times in our lives when the Lord stirs us in a different direction. Hang on for the ride and keep on prospering.
Thanks for your information.
congratulations on your new job! I knew that once a blogger, always a blogger. so even if you are too busy with a lot of things.. i bet, you will still blog
I only wish that Renee would not call everyone that disagrees with her point of view as a racist. At first I thought it was just me, but apparently there were more than a few that she had called out as a racist when they didn't agree. Cleaning up the language a bit wouldn't hurt either.
This comment strikes me as a little odd, especially regarding the language factor. I use more foul language than Renee does but every comment you leave about her, you never fail to mention that oh no, she curses! What gives? Personal vendetta? I can assure you that if you're looking for a PC, kid-friendly blog to read, this isn't it and you should have probably gotten that memo since you've been reading for a little while now and the language is most definitely not going to be “cleaned up,” sorry. I know I blog like I speak and I speak like a sailor so that is definitely going to transfer over to my web presence.
Here, here. It's an adult space discussing adult issues. We can handle foul language and disagreements.
