Feminist Media Cannot Survive without YOU!

In mid-September Bitch Magazine released a call to action to keep independent, nonprofit feminist media going through this economic devastation we have been facing. Luckily, Bitch Magazine was saved but because of how much it costs to keep Bitch Magazine going every month, the funds they received from that call to action didn’t last very long.

Feminist voices are important and deserve an outlet. For that reason, Bitch has launched a new hangout for people dedicated to keeping Bitch Magazine alive, the B-Hive! Bitch recently released The Best B Movie Ever:

Help Bitch reach their goal of 500 dedicated bitchin’ bees by joining the B-Hive.

I have been reading your blog with great enjoyment for a few weeks now and I definitely agree with you about feminist voices and feminists magazines. Off Our Backs has also not been doing well lately.

However I would like to throw in a word off caution about Bitch magazine. They have been reported to sponsor a striptease event together with hustler called tease-o-rama. There is a blog post about it on feminist law professors. http://feministlawprofs.law.sc.edu/?p=4121

Out Campaign

The OUT Campaign allows individuals to let others know they are not alone. It can also be a nice way of opening a conversation and help to demolish the negative stereotypes of atheists. Let the world know that we are not about to go away and that we are not going to allow those that would condemn us to push us into the shadows.
