What the Hell are You Talking About, Lady?

Sorted under 2008 election, politics on September 26, 2008

Not only does Sarah Palin not know what the Bush doctrine is, she is proving that she also has no clue whatsoever what’s going on with anything this country is up against and will have to be reformed during the next presidential administration.

Palin was recently interviewed by Katie Couric, who the next day said that Palin is “not always responsive when she’s asked questions.”

I just want to know what the hell this lady is going on about and towards the middle of this video, you can tell that Couric would also like to know what Palin is going on about and if she planned on answering the damn question she was asked in the first place. I just can’t believe you can see her looking at her notes; what did she need notes for? “I know, I’ll make a list of things to talk about when a question comes up that I don’t know how to answer!”

Makes you wonder why Palin just doesn’t go get herself a YouTube account and vlog for all of us about whatever the hell she wants to talk about so she can stop wasting the time of legitimate reporters and the American people who are conned into watching her interviews thinking that she will actually answer a question.

  • I believe that it is very hypocritical of McCain to appoint Gov. Palin as his running mate after bashing Obama so much during the primaries for being inexperienced. It worries me to think that there is a chance than Palin, as inexperienced as she has come across in recent interviews , has a chance to hold one of the highest ranking offices in our government. It will be interesting to see how the Vice Presidential Debate turns out.

  • I am not much into politics.....These politicians say something and do something....so i just stay away from this hell.
  • Well. I am not interested in politics why? because I get tired of listening how good they are but once they are elected and won.. they will forget the people who voted them.
  • I have to say, Palin reminds me of a female Bush. I completely understand why she waited so long to do an interview. I mean, she completely avoided the question or just forgot what they prepped her to say.

It's very scary to think she could be the next Vice President. I really hope that America puts aside their political parties and truly votes for the more educated candidate.
  • OMG! That interview was painful to watch. I was embarrassed for Palin. The facial expression of Couric was priceless! Palin is clearly over her head. What was McCain thinking?!
  • What was McCain thinking?!

I think he thought worse case scenario he could use the whole idea of the protected wilting flower ideology that encodes the bodies of white women of privilege. Take note how they saw that Biden has to be careful not appear to be a bully of Sarah was named Sam instead no such commentary ever would have made.
  • Sarin Palin speaks of how Republican Politics is going from bad to worse in America. I quote one of her statements..."globalization in our part of the world ..rest of the world is watching", relating globalization to only a segment of the world is so truly Palin if I can put it that way !
  • I think that she doesn't answer the question because she doesn't quite understand what is being asked of her and is not savvy enough to bluff her way through. They are trying to prep her but with such a narrow world view her canned answers to unasked questions are just not going to work. This is what comes of isolating yourself globally. In terms of the Cafferty response the link is here.
It is about time someone called this BS out for what it is instead of pretending that the woman is a legitimate political candidate instead of an attempt to play vagina politics. It is McCains fault for choosing her and Palins fault for allowing her personal arrogance to con her into accepting a position that she was not ready to handle.

I think that a great politician and orator (or even a mediocre one), avoiding the question of a journalist, is a wonderful thing to witness - as long as it's done well. The thing is, a really good speaker will avoid answering the question with such flair and charisma that the audience doesn't really care! Now that's the key.

THIS interview was SO excruciating to watch, I actually felt sorry for Palin!!! (only briefly, as I also was thinking, as she looked down at her answers, that she must be the most arrogant woman on the face of the earth to think for one second - to even contemplate - that she should say yes to the Vice-Presidency). She didn't 'blink' when asked to accept the job?? Does she think she's god's gift to the world? Shit. I'm all the way in Australia and she scares the crap outta me! You guys must be really suffering having to see her in such a position with so many fools going to the polls very soon.

There's a You Tube clip entitled "Cafferty Says What He Really Thinks About Sarah Palin" that was broadcast on CNN - sorry, lost the URL. And you get to see Katie Curie's facial expressions better.

Also I absolutely implore you and your readers to read Sam Harris' essay on Sarah Palin in last week's Newsweek. If you can't find it, go to his website. God that guy can write! (Not hard on the eyes either...)

    Cheers!
  • Politicians like these remind me why I got so tired of listening to them. They simply avoid question, or answer in a way I get dizzy.
  • I've never heard a politician that really was responsive to questions. Sure, some are better than others, but they all avoid a direct question.
