The Iowa Supreme Court Recognizes Everyone’s Right to Marry

Last week the Iowa Supreme Court recognized every person’s right to marry the person they love by unanimously legalizing same sex marriage, becoming the third state next to Massachusetts and Connecticut to give same sex couples the right that they deserve.

Of course the day after the legalization of same sex marriage in Iowa passed, marriage segregationists are working towards an effort to amend the Iowa Constitution to forbid same sex marriage. Iowa Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal was asked to support the amendment, here is the fabulous video of him refusing to revoke the human rights of his fellow human beings:

    That video almost made me cry, I was so happy to hear a politician say those words. Hooray for Gronstal, Iowa, and gay marriage!
