Neo-Nazi Hate Group Dubs Cinco de Mayo ‘Report An Illegal Day’
I have not addressed Arizona’s discriminatory, Nazi-like immigration policy head-on, but I had mentioned it within another post on the general discriminatory mindset of Alabama Republican Governor nominee, Tim James.
According to Arizona’s SB 1070, law enforcement officials in Arizona now have the right to demand documentation from any person they personally suspect may be in the country illegally. Several blogs and countless news sources have brought up the fact that Arizona’s new law, which unless it is blocked by legal challenges, will go into effect this summer, could potentially lead to racial profiling. In fact, Janet Napolitano, who formerly served as Arizona’s governor before taking the position of Homeland Security Secretary has stated herself that the bill “certainly could invite profiling” and also said that “the border’s been under more control than ever before,” making this bill an absolute shame.
Sadly, a lot of people are pretty psyched about this discriminatory and racist bill. I have seen countless Facebook groups being created in favor of “taking control of illegal immigration” and “getting those illegals out of our country.” What kind of people are creating, joining and spreading the word of these groups? Well, people like the National Socialist Movement.
In case you’ve never heard of them, the National Socialist Movement is considered by many to be a neo-Nazi hate group. The Yahoo Group page for the movement (because apparently they still live in the 90′s) claims that they are a “civil rights organization for White people of America and around the World.”
Today is May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, a day that celebrates the anniversary of Mexican independence; and to help Arizona in their “anti-immigration efforts,” the National Socialist Movement has declared today “Report An Illegal Day.”
The group has printed up one-page fliers that instruct people to fax or email Congress to demand that the border be secured and to ask local businesses to participate in e-verify and turn people who they suspect to be illegal immigrants into DHS and ICE.
According to Phoenix, Arizona’s ABC affiliate, Phoenix police are “looking into the flyer.”
This is really getting disgusting, people.

Thank you for calling this piece of legislation what it is: Nazi policy. However I though one thing was missing from your comments, the need to adress illegal immigration in an intelligent manner.
I personally believe a country is made stronger by its immigrants that work hard for little money and do the jobs no one wants to do but we're not willing to pay more for anyway. They lower the median age of the working (taxed) population thereby reducing health care costs and replenish the ranks of the work force as well as bring creativity to a country.
However a country should choose who enters since stopping everyone is neither desirable nor feasible. Instead of arresting people who look like they might be latino (which by the way in Arizona would indicate you are MORE rightfully indigenous to the state than any white person – history 101) why not open borders for people who actualy apply to be american and get in line, then close them to those crossing illegaly?
That way the ranchers are happy and the economy is better off. Makes any sense?
I would be remiss if I didn't correct you. Cinco de Mayo does not commemorate Mexican Independence. At the time, Mexico owed money to several countries, including France. However, Benito Juarez decided to stop making these payments. Needless to say, the French became upset and decided to invade and occupy Mexico in the hopes of getting their money. May 5th marks the date when the Mexican army defeated the much larger French army at the Battle of Puebla. Eventually, the French did occupy Mexico for about a year, placing Emperor Maximilian I on the throne. After the U.S. pressured the French, Maximilian I was executed. The funny thing about Cinco de Mayo is that the U.S. place greater significance on the holiday. Mexico virtually ignores it. In the U.S., Cinco de Mayo is observed to celebrate Mexican ancestry and heritage. The holiday that does celebrate Mexican Independence from Spain is El Dies y Seis de Septiembre (September 16th).
Thank you for your comment and for correcting me! I really appreciate you clearing that up.
well, this is something worth noting. I'm really fascinated with world history (ever since I started playing Rise of Nations). I always though that cinco de mayo was the most prestige event in mexico, I guess I was wrong. by the way, do mexicans celebrate festivities that relates to aztecs? I mean, the played a big part on mexico's heritage. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
I'm really torn on this issue. On one hand, it grates my nerves to know that there are illegals in this country, and that some (note I said some, not all) of them are receiving benefits and other types of state and community aid that rightfully should go to legal citizens of this country first.
But on the other hand, I believe American has a duty to lend a helping hand to anyone residing in its lands.
I don't know what the solution is, but this Nazi-ish bill definitely isn't a solution!
